An equity hack: By increasing academic dialogue in our classrooms, can JMCS begin to address issues of pedagogical inequity, as well as the challenges of student retention and engagement?

JMCS classrooms vary greatly in their student makeup, student needs and abilities, contact time, schedules and attendance patterns. For these reasons, there is inequity with the quality and quantity of instruction students receive at our sites across California.

My equity hack is a yearlong project designed to increase academic dialogue at sites and identify portable, teachable strategies all teachers can use to support students' ability to learn through dialogue in order to set a minimum standard of instruction.
